Ethereum solution that is scaling will introduce its mainnet this coming thirty days after announcing a major investment from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) that closed in November.
“We’ve spent a deal that is fantastic of looking at different approaches and groups building Layer 2s, and today we’re delighted to announce we’re leading a $25 million Series A investment in Optimism,” a16z’s Chris Dixon and Arianna Simpson composed Wednesday. “Optimism’s exceptional team, very carefully designed developer experience, major scaling benefits, many years of research and assessment, and full composability managed to make it the most obvious choice.”
Optimism is among a cohort that is little of seeking to boost Ethereum’s famously choked throughput. The startup was initially considering rolling away a testnet in March, although decentralized finance (DeFi) exchange Synthetix already started on-boarding the tech stack in January.
